Atlantis Rugby Wins Hardware at Tropical 7s!

Tropical 7s was another fantastic tournament this year and Atlantis Rugby is thrilled to be bringing home some hardware! Our 16 Boys Open side known as the "U15s" won their 20 team division to bring home the Cup. They were joined on the podium by the U14 Boys who took 2nd in their 15 team division with their only loss coming against a very strong side from Australia. On the girls side of things we got some hardware from the U16 Girls who were the Plate Champions in the Elite Division.

In addition to the teams listed above we had a series of near misses from teams that put on strong performances throughout the weekend and will be looking to take the final step next time out. Our U18 Girls Elite, U16 Boys Elite, and our second U16 Boys Open side known as "Black" all ended up with 4th place finishes just a win away from earning bronze. Additionally, our U14 Girls were just one win away from bringing home the Plate.

Our U18 Boys sides didn't quite have the weekends that they were hoping for but each definitely took home some positives to build on. The U18 Boys Elite finished 8th out of 16 teams and should look to qualifying for the quarterfinals, and getting out of their pool, as a positive while the U18 Boys Open finished 13th out of 24 teams and showed a lot of potential by going a perfect 3-0 on Day 2 of the tournament to finish with a winning record.

Our players and coaches will now turn their attention to the remainer of their spring seasons. Good luck everyone! We look forward to seeing everyone again over the summer, and for the seniors we look forward to monitoring your progress and wish you the best of luck in all future endeavors!
