The Girls U18 Rugby 15s Territorial Championship occurs Feb 14 and 15 in St. Petersburg, Florida. The event features four select sides from across the US including the Elite Girls Rugby League, Panther Rugby Academy, Midwest Baby Birds, and USA West. This event marks USA West’s first foray into 15s and is well timed as more select side 15s opportunities open up around the country.
Atlantis Rugby will be well represented in this event with a total of 29 players across the four sides. Leading the way is EGRL with 12 Atlanteans on the roster while Midwest and USA West each have 6 and Panther Rugby Academy has 5. We are thrilled to see the competition continuing to grow at these events and we are equally thrilled to see so many of our players getting these opportunities across the country.
We would like to give a shout out to the organizers of this event; all of the coaches, admins, and volunteers from the teams; and everyone from the players’ home clubs who continue to help them grow and develop on a daily basis. It takes a lot of work, and a lot of wonderful selfless people to grow the game and provide these opportunities so thank you all!
