USA Rugby High Performance Verification for Atlantis Rugby
Atlantis Rugby is a USA Rugby High Performance Verified National Development Program

Atlantis Rugby is thrilled to announce that we have recently become USA Rugby High Performance Verified and have been named as one of six National Development Programs in the USA! We are honored to join a list that includes Eagle Impact Rugby Academy (EIRA), The Free Jacks Academy, Panther Rugby Academy, Rhinos Rugby Academy, and Loggers Washington.

Per the USA Rugby NDP website (National Development Programs | USA Rugby) our status as a National Development Program means that we have been officially recognized as a program that has demonstrated the ability to offer an ongoing sports development program for athletes between the ages of 12 and 25 that seeks to improve players’ and coaches’ capabilities to compete for places in college rugby, elite club rugby, professional rugby, and/or USA Rugby National Team programs. All organizations with this designation are independently operated, function as a supplement to the club environment, and collaborate with the union’s High Performance Pathways department.

In the words of Director Jack Foley “The mission of the Atlantis Rugby Academy is to develop the character, technical skills, and tactical knowledge for players in order to provide them an opportunity to compete at the highest level. Through regional clinics, high performance training camps, and tours, Atlantis provides players who want to play High Performance rugby in and after high school an ability to grow their game and the sport.

We can’t wait to hit the ground running in 2025 as an official part of the USA Rugby Pathway! Anyone who is interested in taking their game to the next level should sign up for our upcoming Winter Academy.

The Academy sessions will take place at the Conshohocken Proving Grounds in Pennsylvania, and will be on Jan 27, Feb 3, 10, 17, 24, Mar 3, 10 from 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM for the Winter. The Spring Academy dates will be May 19, 26, and June 2, 9, 16, 23 location and time TBD. We will also be planning matches and tournaments that are TBD against other state, regional, and academy (including MLR) programs.

The registration link can be found here (https://rockymountainregister.com/enroll/atlantis/login.asp?programid=3) and anyone with questions should contact Director Jack Foley at 610-405-4734 or foley@atlantisrugby.com.

In addition to our long and storied history in the 7 on 7 format, 2024 was the first year that Atlantis Rugby fielded competitive 15s sides and the initial year was tremendously successful. In June our U18 Boys took second place at the Buckeye Invitational in Ohio, in November our U16 Boys won the Old North State Invitational in North Carolina with our U18 Girls taking second, and in December our U18 and U16 Boys took on Young Glory in Maryland with the U18 Boys bringing home a victory.

We look forward to working with all of you!
